Fishing for variants, genes and miRNAs in eye diseases

Research Interests
01
NGSomics and Informatics
we develop methods and pipelines to analyze next generation sequencing data
02
Eye disease specific variants
we use machine learning methods to develop methods that predict pathogenicity and prioritize variants specific to eye diseases
03
Unveiling the miRNA orchestra in ocular pathogenesis
we explore the specific miRNAs involved in keratitis and ocular tuberculosis, and how their dysregulation disrupts the delicate balance in a healthy eye. Investigate interactions between these miRNAs and other regulatory molecules.
04
Exploring the diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic potential of miRNAs in eye diseases
we analyze the interplay between genes, proteins, and microbiome alongside miRNA expression to identify unique diagnostic markers for early detection, predict disease progression through miRNA patterns, and explore therapeutic avenues by manipulating miRNA levels to potentially halt disease progression.
